Does your child constantly bug you to let him/her play around on your pricey iPad? Well, now there is a way to make them happy. You can buy them a tablet designed just for kids at Toys 'R' Us.
The tablet is called a Tabeo and while it doesn't come cheap, it's priced at just under $150, much less than an iPad.
The Tabeo features a 7-inch screen, a Wi-Fi connection and 50 pre-loaded kid friendly apps. There are also thousands of additional free apps available for download. An added feature every parent will love is the Tabeo comes with a soft bumper to protect it if it's dropped.
The Tabeo runs on the latest version of Google's Android operating system, known as "Ice Cream Sandwich." There are also extra internet safety controls on it.
Starting Monday, the tablet is available for online pre-orders and it will be in Toys 'R' Us stores starting Oct. 21, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
