CLEVELAND - With Black Friday right around the corner, it only seems appropriate to reveal some of the most returned gifts.

If you're shopping for someone else over Black Friday, it may be a good idea to stick to their wish list.

Duplicate toys and housewares top the list of most returned items, according to retailers. Movies, video games and spouse-inappropriate gifts aren't far behind. That could be a vacuum cleaner or something we need, but don't necessarily want as a gift around the holidays.

Speaking of needs, if you must take something back, make sure you have a receipt and know the time frame. Most likely you'll only have 90 days to return an item. Be sure to also have your driver's license with you. More and more stores check this to make sure you aren't a serial returner.

Another helpful tip is not to take anything out of the box if you know you'll be returning it. If you do, and then try to return it, you could get hit with a restocking fee.
