It's not often a major retailer gets on its knees and apologizes, but that's exactly what JC Penney is doing.
It has just released a new TV ad, essentially saying "we messed up, and we are sorry!"
The ad, being broadcast on network TV and on Penney's YouTube channel says:
"Recently JC Penney changed. Some changes you liked, some you didn't. What matters with mistakes is what we learned. Come back to JC Penney, we heard you."
The ad brings back the old JC Penney logo.
The store admits its new no-sales policy it launched last year was a failure, and wants to bring back its traditional, loyal shoppers who deserted the store.
The question now: have they moved on to other stores, or will they come back?
