Joe the Coupon Guy says look for bargains at garage sales when on vacation or at home

CLEVELAND - Garage sales are popular on the weekend, and some of the biggest ones are planned for upcoming weekends. Before you head out, Joe Daugirdas also known as Joe the Coupon Guy , has some tips to make sure you get your money's worth.
The 8th annual Lincoln Highway Buy-Way Yard Sale will be held on Lincoln Highway as it runs through stretches of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia. It will be held August 9-11.
The World's Longest Yard Sale is held the first weekend of August (Thursday-Saturday). It spans 690 miles from north of Addison, Michigan to Gadsen, Alabama.
If you want to stay local, flea markets are a great way to find deals. Daugirdas even hits them up while on vacation to find deals on souvenirs.

Cleaning out your house is refreshing, and so is saving money on the value of your property. Daugirdas suggests thinking about refinancing as mortgage rates continue to hit rock bottom. He's refinanced several times in the past few years to take advantage of the low rates.
