CLEVELAND - Giant Eagle is extending it's price lock on hundreds of items through the winter. It started the program in October and it ran through Jan. 2.

The Winter Low Price Lock program will be similar to the previous program, where prices on items will be frozen to give families predictability in their budgets.

“Due to the positive customer response to our Low Price Lock during the holiday season, we are freezing prices all winter long,” said Giant Eagle senior director of corporate communications Rob Borella.

There will be added items in the new program including national brands like Nestle, Tropicana, and Sugardale, as well as Giant Eagle brand products.

For example, Sugardale bacon will be locked at $3.99 a pound, six count Dove bar soap will be $6.99, Hot Pockets $2 and roasted chicken $1.99 a pound.
