AKRON, Ohio - The REX Salvage store in Akron will close in March 2012.
Recovery Management Corporation (RMC), which owns the store, announced that the store will close as part of a workload consolidation.
Some of the 26 employees have been offered positions at the company’s Kansas City headquarters, according to a news release from the company.
The company has made agreements with local staffing firms to help employees staying in the Akron area find new jobs.
REX Salvage cited "the ongoing economy and changes in the freight industry" as driving factors in this consolidation.
REX Salvage store will be open until mid-March.
