Discrimination among pregnant women in the workplace is still a big problem.

That's what experts are telling the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. They say women in the workforce are still facing demotions, prejudice and even job loss when they become pregnant.

According to the EEOC statistics, pregnancy discrimination claims have been on the rise since 1997.

Back then, nearly 4,000 claims were filed. Last year, nearly 6,000 pregnant women said they were discriminated against.
