DETROIT - Automakers aren't the only ones showing off their new models at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

For the first time ever, a tractor is on display at the Auto Show

Craftsman says it makes sense to premiere its new CTX Tractor series there.

"I think everybody can agree that this is the national stage when it comes to automobiles, and because this tractor has been specifically designed with a lot of auto-inspired features, we feel this is the perfect place to launch and to showcase the tractor to the public,” said Craftsman director of brand management Onney Crawley.

Some of those auto-inspired features include traction control, electronic fuel managemen, and even a cup holder and a place to plug in a charger for your phone or mp3 player.

Craftsman says while many have been a little surprised to see a tractor at the Detroit Auto Show, the experience has been good.
