The newly expanded Breast Health Center at St. John Medical Center provides physicians, nurses and technologists that are sensitive to your individual needs, making sure you feel comfortable throughout your care.

The Breast Health Center at St. John Medical Center provides a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic and support services that include:

  • Screening Digital Mammography
  • Diagnostic Digital Mammography
  • Digital Mammography
  • Computer Assisted Detection System (CAD)
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Fine Needle Aspiration
  • Ultrasound and Mammogram Guided Needle Localization for Breast Biopsy
  • Ultrasound Guided Core Breast Biopsy
  • Breast Lesion Excision System (BLES)

Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping – This relatively new technique is used to determine whether cancer has spread beyond the primary tumor and into the lymph system.

  • Certified Breast Health Counselor

Support Groups - "Hope Group," which is a breast cancer support group co-facilitated by a professional clinical counselor and our breast health counselor that provide educational information care of their health and well being.
