ATLANTA - The Georgia Dome in Atlanta is packed with Christian students beginning the new year at an annual worship conference.
The Rev. Louie Giglio is hosting Passion 2013, which runs through Friday.
In a pre-event podcast, Giglio estimated that 60,000 Christians between the ages of 18 and 25 would take part in the worship sessions and seminars, with an emphasis on fighting human trafficking and helping the poor.
The attendees were asked to each bring a new towel and pair of socks to donate to local homeless shelters.
Christian musicians leading worship at Passion 2013 include Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, David Crowder and Christy Nockels.
