Catholic schools outnumbered by charters

ARLINGTON, Va. - A new study suggests that Catholic schools can and should copy some practices of charter schools, which for the first time will outnumber parochial schools this fall.
The study, by the Lexington Institute, examined how Catholic schools can reform their education and business models.
Researchers say Catholic schools should learn from high-performing charters and make innovations to deliver high-quality education to more students at a low cost.
The study concludes that technology-based learning customization can help turn around Catholic schools both financially and academically.
