CLEVELAND - More Americans are finding their Valentines at work, a new survey has found.
Career Builder, which ran the survey, found almost 40 percent of workers said they have dated someone with whom they’ve worked.
Thirty percent of those relationships actually led to marriage.
As the economy struggles, the work day has gotten longer for a lot of people. So for some, that's blurring the line between socializing and working.
The survey found that sparks flew at happy hours, lunch breaks, company holiday parties, business trips and working late at the office. But office romances can get complicated.
A third of the women who found love at the office said they dated someone in a higher position than them. That's compared to 20 percent of men who said the same.
These people don't necessarily think they should hide their romance, though. Sixty-five percent of dating workers said they aren't keeping their relationship a secret.
Some may think it’s a bad idea to mix business and romance, but for many, life may be just too short to not follow your heart, even if it leads to the cubicle around the corner.
