CLEVELAND - When Clevelander Debbie Kuhn was invited on a rafting trip to Montana 10 years ago, she faced the same dilemma as women everywhere do who avoid any activity requiring a swimsuit.
Not comfortable baring a lot of skin, Debbie put a women's tankini top together with a pair of plain men's swim trunks, and the idea for a new kind of swimwear took hold.
It took another decade, but in March 2009, Debbie launched a limited line of swim shorts tailored to a woman's body, and coordinating tops in a halter or tank style. The response has been phenomenal.
Kuhn's customers have been saying "Thank you, Finally, I can participate in summer water sports without feeling so self-conscious."
You'll find more information on "Girltrunks" on Debbie's website .
