SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio - The Haunted Forest of Carousel is celebrating 31 years of nasty walks in the woods.

According to the haunt's website, the horrific atmosphere and scenery has changed in recent years.

The attraction boasts one-half mile of gravel footpaths, a covered waiting area and a concession stand.

Patrons are encouraged to attend on Thursdays and Sundays to avoid lines which are more likely on the weekends.

Haunted Forest management also invites patrons to call ahead if inclement weather is a concern (440 934-5708). The haunt is very close to Lake Erie and often experiences different weather conditions than are found elsewhere in the area.

Fridays & Saturdays, September 14 - October 28:  dark until midnight
Sundays & Thursdays in October:  dark until 10 p.m.

$13 for adults, teens and children over 48 inches
Children 48 inches and under are $7
Same night reentry for any paid admission $2
