AKRON, Ohio - A new restaurant featuring soups and other slow-cooked meals opened for business this week in downtown Akron.
The Stew Pot Kitchen is located at 30 North High Street and is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The restaurant, which touts its low prices, also serves up sausages, hot dogs, and other cuisines.
"The first responsibility of a restaurant is not to make a profit, but to feed people. Do that right, and price it fair, and the profit will come," posted Scott Malensek on the WEWS Facebook page Monday morning.
According to its Facebook page , The Stew Pot Kitchen is housed in what used to be office space.
