CLEVELAND - For a gory twist on dessert, try Chris Koetke’s “Halloween Eyeball Soup,” which is both scary and healthy.
Halloween is time to play with your food, so how about some bloody eyeball soup?
Recipe for Halloween Eyeball Soup:
Difficulty: Easy
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 0 minutes
Serves: 4
1 lb. frozen strawberries (thawed)
¼ cup and 2 Tablespoons sugar
½ cup pure, unsweetened cranberry juice*
¼ teaspoon almond extract
Assorted melons (several different colors are best)
20 blueberries
10 red peeled grapes
