UNDATED - The fastest “texter” in the world lives in Seattle.
Franklin Page can type sentences faster than you can say them. He’s certified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
He uses cutting edge technology called Swype. The program lets you spell words by sliding your fingers across the letters.
Cliff Kushler created Swype eight years ago to help people with disabilities. Today, it still does that and more.
Last week, doctors diagnosed a 16-year-old in Illinois with carpal tunnel syndrome. She sent up to 4,000 text messages a month.
Technology like Swype could eliminate that.
Now companies like Samsung are pouring money into Swype technology for their phones.
