CLEVELAND - Comedian and actress Jenny McCarthy will be joining the table for the 17th season of “The View.”
Barbara Walters officially announced the addition on Monday’s show.
McCarthy has guest co-hosted the show numerous times in recent months.
“Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous,” Walters said.
McCarthy currently hosts a late-night talk show on VH1 and also writes an advice column for “The Chicago Sun-Times.”
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who had been on the program for a decade, made her final appearance Wednesday, departing to join Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends.”
Joy Behar, an original member of the panel, will say farewell to “The View” at the end of the current season.
The 17th season of “The View” kicks off Monday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. on NewsChannel5.
