Reports say ABC picks Michael Strahan to replace Regis Philbin and host 'Live!' with Kelly Ripa

CLEVELAND - Kelly Ripa may have her new man.
Broadcasting & Cable reported that several sources confirm former NFL star and current Fox Sports personality Michael Strahan will co-host “Live!” with Ripa.
ABC has not commented on these reports yet and is expected to make the official announcement in early September. The show’s new season premieres September 3.
Strahan used to play for the Giants. He is expected to stay with Fox Sports while hosting with Ripa.
“Live!” has been without a co-host since November when Regis Philbin retired. Several people have filled-in since then, including Strahan.
