Let the speculation begin. “Dancing with the Stars” promises to announce a big surprise at the top of Monday night’s show.
Could it have something to do with no one getting eliminated last week? Are they kicking off two stars tonight? Apparently not. ABC is trying to quash notions of a double-elimination. Instead, online buzz suggests that judge Len Goodman might have some sad news.
Besides the “surprise,” Monday night’s show also comes with two dances. The stars will perform their individual dance, then they must take part in a group freestyle. The freestyles are one of the more popular features of this show, and a group version should be amusing. Get your ice packs ready, stars.
Actress Elizabeth Berkley and Val are working on a quickstep, which could be interesting. Elizabeth tweeted, “Tomorrow nite, @iamValC and I are up first with our Quickstep! Xoxo.”
“Glee” actress Amber Riley and Derek have a paso doble, which I’m sure Derek will over-choreograph to good effect. While Amber has been dealing with a knee injury, it sounds like Derek badly injured his back and a fill-in has been rehearsing with Amber. Amber tweeted, “That moment you nail a move that you've been fumbling the WHOLE WEEK! WOOHOO!!! .”
Disney star Corbin Bleu and Karina will dance a cha cha, which should be awesome. Corbin tweeted, “Who's ready for #TeamBleuSmirnoff 's #ChaChaCha tomorrow night on #DWTS ? #TeamCorbin dancingabc's photo http://instagram.com/p/f_EfGfj0Sa/ .”
Actor Brant Daugherty and Peta are rehearsing a jive, which should be a very interesting number. Brant tweeted, “Deep into jive rehearsals with @PetaMurgatroyd and there's no place on earth I'd rather be. I love being a part of this show.”
“Jersey Shore” vet Nicole “Hot Mess” Polizzi and Sasha have the samba, which should suit her. Snooki tweeted about her group dance, posing, “Cannot wait for tomorrow! Love my group #Spookybombom !! Getting a good nights rest for the long day tomm!! #dwts .”
Actress Leah Remini and Tony will salsa, which should fit the quirky actress who has been developing her sultry side on the dance floor.
Comedian Bill Engvall and Emma are touching up a quickstep, which I have no doubt he’ll nail. Bill tweeted, “7.5 hrs of dancing today!!!' Between the quickstep and team dance I am toast tonight. Gonna be great Monday. #engvalldwts @EmmaSlaterDance .”
The likely candidates for elimination could be Bill, Leah or Jack. No one was eliminated last week due to the show’s glaring technical problems the prior week.
See who gets the boot Monday night at 8:00 Eastern on ABC.

ABC says it will air four fewer episodes of "Scandal" than planned this season.
The network on Friday didn't say why it will broadcast 18 instead of 22 episodes. But the decision follows word that "Scandal" star Kerry Washington and her new husband, football player Nnamdi Asomugha, are expecting a baby.
Former Cleveland Brown lineman Al "Bubba" Baker pitched his successfully patented process to remove the bone from ribs, trademarked D-Boned, on ABC's Shark Tank.
