CLEVELAND - The 2013 Tri-C JazzFest in Cleveland will feature two blockbuster weekends at PlayhouseSquare, complete with restaurant and hotel packages. Check out some of the festival highlights:
· On both Saturdays (April 20 & April 27), spend the day enjoying concerts at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., along with live music and meet the artist sessions in the lobby.
· On Friday, April 19, join us for "We're Gonna Have a Funky Good Time" in the State Theatre lobby from 5 p.m. - 7pm celebrating the opening of the festival. Sponsored by Great Lakes Brewing Company, it is free and open to the public and will feature music by Detroit's Nadir & Distorted Soul.
· The three-day DownBeat Invitational on the Metropolitan Campus (April 22–24) will showcase outstanding student ensembles from as far away as Israel. Keeping the vibe young and strong, early-career artists such as Anat Cohen, Orrin Evans and Dominick Farinacci will teach workshops and perform.
The 2013 line up is Funky, Cool, Spiritual, Fresh, Out of this World, Timeless, Beyond Category, Hard-driving, Unforgettable, and Fun…you know… JAZZ!
