Once again, E. Ninth Street was rattled with explosions as filming continues for "The Avengers." A large explosion filled the skies as they filmed pick up shots for the movie.
This scene shows an explosion and a fire hydrant then shoots water several feet into the air.
Big crowds were in the area before the crew broke for lunch at about 1 p.m. Set-up will continue on Public Square where shooting will continue tonight.
On Saturday, crews were filming inside the Cleveland Trust Building, on the corner of East 9 th Street and Euclid Ave. Lights were pointed inside the building, and crews were using smoke to enhance the scene.
Last week, explosions blew up the façade of an Acura dealership that had been built for the movie, and earlier in the week a series of explosions rocked downtown.
The crew will be filming downtown for the entire month of August, so head downtown and check it out. Also, you can check out our photo gallery of the filming: http://5.wews.com/B1m.
