CLEVELAND - Tickets went on sale Monday in some cities for the premiere of a movie partially-filmed in downtown Cleveland – but Cleveland isn’t listed as having a midnight screening.

The superhero-themed movie from Marvel Studios, “The Avengers,” will hit the big screen May 4, and is currently offering fans the option to buy advance tickets for midnight screenings in 18 cities.

The movie’s Facebook page listed five cities in which movie-goers will get a limited-edition poster at the show, since they have had the most number of ticket sales so far:

1) New York
2) Chicago
3) Dallas
4) Washington, D.C.
5) Los Angeles

Facebook fans are able sign up to try to get a sixth city to be included in the poster give-away, but Cleveland is not listed as an option.

Many of the movie’s most explosive scenes were shot in downtown Cleveland last summer on East 9th Street between Euclid Avenue and Prospect. Fire and smoke could be seen billowing up from the area.
