LOS ANGELES - Ted Williams, the Ohio homeless man whose smooth radio voice made him an Internet sensation, has had to do some quick talking to Los Angeles police.
According to LAPD Williams and his daughter got into a heated argument Monday night at a the Renaissance Hollywood hotel and officers were called.
Officers took the pair to the Hollywood police station, calmed them down, talked to them and let them go in less than hour.
Last week, the Cleveland Cavaliers offered Williams a job to do voicework. In downtown Cleveland, Williams had people talking.
Chet Ross said, "I had high hopes for the guy, I was really hoping for a good start."
The 53-year-old Williams trained to be a radio announcer but found his life derailed by drugs and alcohol in the 1990s. Williams became famous almost overnight after a Columbus Dispatch newspaper reporter posted a web video of him last week.
According to LAPD it was a minor disturbance and the pair weren't arrested.
Williams is in Los Angeles for a national talk show appearance the reunited him with his ex-wife and 5 of his 9 children.
