CLEVELAND - “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts has taken another step in her recovery, returning home after 30 days in the hospital.

Roberts posted the latest blog about her journey back to good health Wednesday night.

“I am considered 21 days old. That's how long it has been since my transplant,” Roberts writes.

She also tells readers that her doctors said her cells are making themselves right at home but she will still be monitored closely and make regular visits to the hospital.

Thursday morning, Roberts tweeted an update to her more than 340,000 followers.

@RobinRoberts : There's no place like home. After 30 days in the hospital I'm home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Thank YOU and bless YOU. XO

Your support is helping Robin through the process, she says.

“Most of all, I know it is your prayers and warm thoughts that have gotten me this far,” Roberts writes. “I truly feel them each and every day. I humbly ask that you please continue to send them until you see me back at the GMA anchor desk and I promise to send them right back at ya.”

Roberts told viewers in July that she had been diagnosed with MDS, myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare disease of the blood and bone marrow. She received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally-Ann.

On top of her health battle, Roberts also lost her mother Lucimarian at the end of August.

The anchor has been on medical leave from "Good Morning America" and says she will be “resting away from GMA until given the all clear” in her blog.
