Report: Casey Anthony spotted in Ohio

Newly-acquitted Casey Anthony has reportedly been spotted in Ohio.

TMZ.com has posted photos of a woman alleged to be Anthony, wearing an Ohio State ballcap and glasses. She was spotted shopping in Ohio, but the website does not say specifically where.

Anthony’s whereabouts have remained a mystery since she was acquitted or murdering her 2-year-old daughter three weeks ago. She does have relatives in Ohio, and was previously rumored to seek shelter in Columbus.

Rumors also surfaced that she was living in Geauga County, but the Sheriff's Department told NewsChannel5 on July 29 that those rumors were unsubstantiated.

The photos would be the first images of Anthony since her trial ended. She has tried to stay out of the public eye because of the volume of death threats she received while in prison and following her acquittal.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Ohio State University issued a statement about the photo:
"We are never surprised to see Buckeye pride displayed across the world. Buckeye hoodies and hats have traditionally been spotted across the world, and we understand that as a result, our logo will be seen in a wide range of news situations, whether positive or negative," said Jim Lynch with OSU.
