New mom Snooki: Hardly any sleep, but worth it!

From what we've seen on "Jersey Shore," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is well acquainted with pulling an all-nighter - just not the kind that includes a newborn.

The new mom is getting used to parenthood one tweet at a time, as she updated her well-wishers on Twitter Monday with a post that many parents understand: "Hardly any sleep but SO worth it!"

The 24-year-old welcomed her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, on August 26. Lorenzo's father is Jionni LaValle, Snooki's fiancé.

"Post birth isn't so comfy and glamorous," Snooki added Monday, "But my son is FABULOUS."

The reality star credits her pregnancy with helping her to gain maturity, even when it came to her diet. Rather than her usual fare - pickles, fried or from the jar - she began to prefer fruits, vegetables and "Italian ices."

But now that she's welcomed her son, there is one item Snooki's ready to add back to her menu: "Im finally able to eat eggs again!" she tweeted the day following Lorenzo's birth. "While I was pregnant I couldn't even smell them! Now I'm killing it with egg whites!!!"
