For someone who was so nervous to chop off her long locks, Anne Hathaway is really owning her shorter 'do.
The actress, who cut her hair to play Fantine in Tom Hooper's "Les Misérables," told CNN that she just needed time to adjust.
In fact, she said it took her about 30 minutes before she deemed herself brave enough to look in a mirror after her haircut.
"There was a growing out period, about maybe two weeks ago, that I was like, 'Oh God, what am I going to do?' But I think I've kind of settled into a style that I like at the moment," Hathaway said. "There is a little bit of a plan for how it's going to grow."
When asked whether or not taking the role, which required her to get her haircut and shed 25 pounds, was a difficult decision, Hathaway said it wasn't - at first.
"I've always respected a certain type of actor who really commits to all aspects of her role, but it was ... a hard thing to wrap my head around that I was going to have to do," she said. "Not so much the weight loss ... I'm a girl. Lets face it, we think about losing weight all the time."
