Actor Rob Lowe has been tapped to play the role of the prosecutor in a new movie based on the Casey Anthony murder trial.
The Lifetime movie is titled "Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony".
It's based on the book by 54-year old Jeff Ashton, the real prosecutor in the trial.
Anthony was acquitted of murder last year in for the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Fox Television Studios optioned the rights to Ashton's book and will produce the movie which will detail how Ashton got the case ready for trial.
Ashton said the movie will also examine what the prosecution got right and what it got wrong when presenting its case and why he still thinks Anthony is guilty.
