Wilson weeps after learning of brother's tragic death

Actress RITA WILSON wept during an emotional episode of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? after discovering she had a half-brother who died as a baby.

Tom Hanks' wife traveled to Greece, where her father Alex lived before he emigrated to America in 1949, to learn about her roots in the genealogy TV series.

And the star was left stunned when she found out her father had been married before and she had had a half-sibling called Emil.

Tragically, her father's first wife died due to complications during the birth, and the tot passed away just months later.

Wilson then traveled to Bulgaria, where her father was imprisoned in a labour camp in 1946 after he tried to leave the country following a stint in prison for stealing plastic bottles.

He managed to escape the camp, and became an enemy of the state and fled to the U.S.

The actress broke down in tears again as she was reunited with her father's brother Ferhat, 96, who had just a single letter from his sibling explaining that he had made it to the States.
