Boy band THE WANTED celebrated the anniversary of their first appearance on a major TV show by returning with flowers for the host.

The group saluted comedienne Ellen DeGeneres for all her support at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday (09Jan13) as they collected their Favorite Breakout Artist trophy - they even dedicated an a cappella version of Starland Vocal Band's hit Afternoon Delight to the TV personality from the stage at the ceremony.

And they surprised her again on Friday (11Jan13) by returning to her daytime show with hugs and flowers.

Singer Max George said, "You gave us our first break on TV," prompting Ellen to add, "(It was) a year ago today."

Jay McGuiness added, "It's been a very good year for us but all the time we never forgot you took a bit of a risk."

DeGeneres insisted it wasn't much of a risk, adding, "You all are very talented and I could tell you were gonna go places."
