Sigourney Weaver's political drama cancelled

SIGOURNEY WEAVER's new TV drama has been axed.
Political Animals, in which the Alien star portrays a fictional Secretary of State, will not return for a second season, according to TVGuide.com.
The drama ran for six episodes earlier this year (12) and also featured Carla Gugino and Ellen Burstyn.
