Shakira's boyfriend confirms baby news was a prank

SHAKIRA's soccer star boyfriend GERARD PIQUE appears to have confirmed his baby news announcement was a prank.
The Spanish sportsman is expecting a son with his pop star girlfriend and he took to Twitter.com in the early hours of Friday morning (28Dec12) to apparently confirm the baby's birth, writing, "Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thank you to everyone for your messages!"
However, the post came on a date known as 'Dia de los Santos Inocentes', a version of April Fools' Day celebrated in Spain and many Spanish-speaking countries.
Pique followed up his initial tweet later on Friday by declaring they had called the baby "Innocent" - a word which is usually said to those who have fallen victim to a prank on 28 December.
He added, "Happy Dia de los Inocentes to all!"
