Former BOND girl OLGA KURYLENKO has opened up about the horrific car accident which wrecked her ballet dreams as a young girl.

The Quantum of Solace star trained to be a dancer while growing up in Ukraine but she was forced to give up her lessons after she was struck by a car.

She tells BlackBook magazine, "I loved ballet. It's such a pity I had to stop. I got hit by a car and my leg was broken. Badly. One piece was sticking this way and the other was going that way. I was 11 and I freaked out. I thought, 'This is it,' and I looked at it and I didn't think someone could put that back together.

"I was traumatised. I thought that was the end of me. I had to re-learn how to walk (when the cast came off) because the muscles had atrophied, and one leg was much skinnier than the other, and my knee wouldn't bend anymore."

Kurylenko tried to resume ballet classes once she recovered but quit because she felt so discouraged.

However, she recently rediscovered her love of dance.

She adds, "I don't go to the gym! I take dance classes... It's so much fun... To feel your body moving. I'm like, what have I been doing all these years?"
