Actress MICHELLE WILLIAMS is staving off the boredom of press tours for her new movie OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL by engaging in a cheeky word game with her camera crew.

The Brokeback Mountain beauty admits sitting through interview after interview can be tiring at times, so she has been trying to liven up the filmed conversations by sneaking in unusual words as part of a challenge from her colleagues.

She explains, "Everybody's very nice but we tend to get the same questions... We play a game to stave off the boredom... It's a word game because you sit in this dark room for about four hours... You kind of go on autopilot and you check out a little bit, but not if you play this game.

"The game is that... before the person (interviewer) comes in (the crew) gives you a word and you have to find a way to integrate this word into the three questions that they would ask about the Wizard of Oz. It is a very fun game."

Giving examples, Williams - who plays Glinda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz prequel - reveals she recently worked "pumpernickel" into one chat - but finding a way to mention "Bigfoot" proved to be much harder.

She told U.S. talk show host David Letterman, "They (the reporter) asked me what it was like to fly and what it felt like flying in a harness. Thank god they asked me about the harness because I was able to say, 'You can't eat a lot of pumpernickel sandwiches'...

"The hardest though was 'bigfoot'... It took me three interviews. Part of the fun is getting it immediately, but bigfoot is hard, and then luckily someone asked me, 'If I were a magician, what would my magician name be?' and I saw it shining in front of me: 'The Amazing Bigfoot'!"
