Pop star-turned-actor JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has credited AMY ADAMS, his co-star in new film TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, with saving his life during a frozen lake scene in the movie.

The Social Network star reveals he was beginning to lose consciousness and turn blue with the extreme cold and he would have sparked a medical emergency on the set if it wasn't for his new movie love interest's attentive nature.

He explains, "We shot the scene in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the water was just below fifty degrees. It was freezing.

"Amy actually saved my life. Unbeknownst to me, I was turning blue and couldn't process a thought, so she actually saved my life. I owe Amy Adams my life."

But Adams is playing down her heroism, stating, "Some people call it mouth-to-mouth, some people call it kissing - any way, it's nice work if you can get it!"
