JUSTIN BIEBER has rejigged his latest online rant after poking fun at LINDSAY LOHAN's tax woes during an ill-conceived attack on the media.

The teenager took to photo and message sharing website Instagram.com to blast his critics for comments they have written and posted about him in recent days and weeks and in the heat of the moment, took issue with tabloid stories comparing his recent issues on tour in Europe with Lohan's struggles.

Complaining about his treatment in the media, Bieber wrote, "To those comparing me to Lindsay Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements."

The pop superstar admits he immediately regretted the post, which suggested he's better off than the Mean Girls actress following her series of financial hits and legal woes last year (12), and he's since tried to make amends.

He tells TMZ.com, "My post was only up for a few minutes but I realized right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say. I immediately deleted it and rewrote it so it would show what I was really feeling and those words are up now."
