JENNIFER LAWRENCE poked fun at her Oscar rivals while hosting comedy show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE in America.

The Hunger Games star held nothing back as she took aim at fellow Best Actress nominees Naomi Watts (The Impossible), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), young Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and French actress Emmanuelle Riva (Amour) in her opening monologue.

Lawrence quipped, "Jessica Chastain... in Zero Dark Thirty, you caught bin Laden, so what; in Winter's Bone, I caught a squirrel and then I ate it...! Naomi Watts, you know what else is impossible - you beating me on Oscar night."

She then turned on nine-year-old Wallis, adding, "You think you can beat me? What are you talking about, Wallis? Also, the alphabet called; they want their letters back," and concluded by stating Riva is "an 85-year-old French lady, yeah I think I can take you. You know what I say about your Oscar chances, Emmanuelle? Emmanuel Riva-derci!"

Lawrence qualified each catty remark by stating how much she admired her Oscar competition, making sure they all knew she was joking.

The actress is nominated for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

During her stint on SNL on Saturday (19Jan13), Lawrence also reprised her Hunger Games character Katniss Everdeen for a press conference comedy skit and she also took on Cate Blanchett's Elf Queen role in a Hobbit spoof.
