JENNI RIVERA's son was arrested in Miami, Florida on Thursday (21Feb13) on the same day the late Mexican singer was feted posthumously at a Latin awards show in the city.
Michael Marin Rivera was detained by cops and charged with criminal mischief, reportedly linked to minor acts of vandalism.
The damage was estimated to be between $200 and $1,000 and bail for the 22 year old was set at $1,000.
The star's family were in Miami for Thursday's Premio Lo Nuestro awards, where Rivera posthumously won all five honors she was nominated for, including Artist Of The Year.
Rivera, 43, was traveling on a private jet to Los Angeles when it crashed soon after take-off on 9 December (12). There were no survivors onboard and Mexican authorities are still investigating the incident.
