JADA PINKETT SMITH has discovered that owning a basketball team has ruined the fun of watching games live - because now she is fined if she gets too animated.

The actress and husband Will Smith became part-owners of his hometown Philadelphia 76ers last year (11) and she quickly realized she had to tone down her passion for the sport.

The Madagascar star explains, "You get awesome seats to whatever game you wanna go to... but I do have to now watch the game sitting on my hands... I was sitting there with Will and I'm like, 'Defence, what the...' and Will was like, 'Hey, babe, we get fined for stuff like that now!'

"You just can't just blurt things out... I'm like, 'You mean to tell me I can't enjoy the game...?' You get the full fine."
