Actress ELIZABETH BANKS feels a strong bond with her son despite not giving birth to him herself.

The Hunger Games star and her husband Max Handelman welcomed baby Felix last year (11) after turning to a surrogate following years of failed fertility treatments, and the actress insists the process didn't affect her connection to the little boy.

She tells People magazine, "I don’t have anything to compare it to, frankly, so I have no idea! (Surrogacy) was my experience, so just like every other mom, I adore my son, and I’m so grateful he’s in my life. He has provided a lot of clarity for me and so much joy. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me, however he happened to me."
