Veteran singer/actor DAVID CASSIDY is facing legal action from a woman accusing him of severely injuring her in a car accident.
Novlet Lawrence claims she was left with bodily injuries, disability, disfigurement and mental anguish after The Partridge Family star crashed his car into hers.
In her lawsuit, Lawrence maintains Cassidy was illegally talking on his cell phone when he slammed into her vehicle, and she is demanding he hand over his phone records to prove her allegation.
However, a spokesperson for Cassidy has dismissed the alleged victim's complaint, telling TMZ.com, "Police were called by the woman once she saw who David was. Only then did she complain of her neck being sore. No citations were given and no one was actually hurt or required on set medical care."
It is unknown when the crash occurred.
