Britney Spears mourning grandfather

Pop star BRITNEY SPEARS is in mourning after her grandfather passed away just nine days before Christmas.
June Austin Spears, who served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, passed away at his Louisiana home on 16 December (12), aged 82 - and the Toxic hitmaker took the news hard.
A source tells the National Enquirer, "Britney was inconsolable. She knew that he wasn't getting around as much, but she had no idea that he was near death. Britney called him 'PaPa June' and she was very close to him...
"(She) started a scrapbook of all her childhood photos and the letters that PaPa June sent over the years. She's even written a song about him."
And the Grammy winner's actress sister Jamie Lynn was just as devastated - a post on her Twitter.com account reads, "Gonna miss you Paw-Paw June... I know your watching over us now tho (sic)!!"
