BRAD PITT is reportedly set to front a range of Chinese advertisements for car company Cadillac.
The Hollywood superstar recently signed up for an account on the nation's most popular social networking website, Sina Weibo, and on Monday (07Jan13) he sent out his first message, which read, "It is the truth. Yup, I'm coming..."
The cryptic post prompted many followers to speculate the actor, who was banned from entering China after starring in culturally-sensitive film Seven Years in Tibet, was planning a trip to the Communist country, but now it appears he'll only be visiting fans via their television screens.
According to Eonline.com, Pitt has landed a $3 million (GBP1.9 million) contract to serve as the car brand's spokesperson and will shoot his first TV spot in Los Angeles next week (begs14Jan13).
The 49 year old is also the current face of ladies fragrance Chanel No. 5.
