CLEVELAND - This Wednesday marks the first Wade Oval Wednesday of the summer.
Every Wednesday until August 25, Wade Oval in Cleveland’s University Heights will be home to an evening concert. They start at 6 o’clock in the evening and run until 9 o’clock.
In previous years, thousands of local people showed up to these concerts, bringing friends, family, and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the music.
The first concert slated for June 16 is Carlos Jones & The PLUS Band, a reggae band. Future performances will include rock & roll, jazz, and folk music.
During Wade Oval Wednesdays, some University circle museums, including the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and the Western Reserve Historical Society, offer discounts and extended hours.
The event is free, but visitors may have to pay for parking, depending on where they park.
Wade Oval is in the heart of University Circle, off East Boulevard and E. 108th Street.
