HINCKLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Cleveland Metroparks will host their annual "Dog Paddle & Pet-A-Palooza" on Sunday.
The event is sure to be a tail wagging good time. It runs from 1 to 5 p.m. at Ledge Pool & Recreation Area in Hinckley Township.
Dog owners can bring their non-aggressive dogs to cool off with a dip in Ledge Pool for a nominal donation of $5 per dog. The net proceeds benefit the Medina County SPCA.
If your pooch doesn't want to swim there are plenty of other activities. A dog fair will also be held on the grounds with exhibitors and vendors all about "man's best friend," including dog groomers, dog treats, and dog adoptions.
Various organizations such as Golden Treasure Golden Retriever Rescue, Nature's Pharmacy and Ohio Pug Rescue will have booths.
There will also be some demonstrations on everything from safety tips to agility courses.
Visitors to the Pet-a-Palooza can enter to win Cleveland Indians tickets throughout the day and you and your pets won't go hungry. There will be plenty of snacks on sale for both dogs and humans.
Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road, between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township.
