LOS ANGELES - She was a guest star in ABC's hit soap opera "General Hospital" nearly ten years ago, and now the former "Today" show co-anchor is set to make a big return.
Meredith Vieira will return to the show, playing the role of Bree Flanders.
Vieira will once again play Flanders who, last we saw, was the owner of an upscale escort service. In a recent interview with TV Guide Magazine, Vieira revealed that Flanders has straightened up her life a bit.
Flanders is out of the prostitution business and now is the Senior VP of Marketing at CoeCoe Cosmetics.
Vieira is not the only familiar face returning to Port Charles. Lynn Herring is coming up in the role that GH fans will never forget: Lucy Coe.
Vieira’s upcoming appearance on General Hospital, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14, is part of a crossover of sorts between the soap and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Next year, General Hospital stars Jason Thompson (Patrick), Ian Buchanan (Duke, Faison) and Finola Hughes (Anna) are scheduled to appear on the game show.
