The little boy who stole America’s heart playing a pint-sized Darth Vader now needs help for his own heart.
Seven-year-old actor Max Page caught attention in the popular Volkswagen commercials that aired during last year’s Super Bowl. He also plays Reed on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”
Page will undergo open heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to replace his pulmonary valve.
“I just want to try and get through this with a good attitude,” Page said.
Page was born with a congenital heart defect. This will be his eighth surgery in seven years.
To stay positive, Page made a list of things he wants to do when he’s better.
“I’m looking forward to August because me and my brother made a holiday. It’s called Brother’s Day, August first,” Page said.
If the operation goes as planned, Page should be out of the hospital within a week.
