CLEVELAND - We spotted crews taking measurements of our assignment desk. It's the heart of our newsroom, a communications hub where we juggle news crews, listen to police and fire scanners and take news tips 24/7.
James Pollack is WEWS Managing Editor, and the news desk is his playground. He admits the transformation will not give him any new "toys" to play with but he says it will give the area a makeover.
It will offer countless performance opportunities for our anchors and reporters, including Cedra Mayfield.
Mayfield mans the news desk overnight for NewsChannel5 and reports for Good Morning Cleveland.
