CLEVELAND - Some parts of NewsChannel 5's news studio are older than others.
While the set you see everyday on our newscasts is fourteen years old and due for a makeover, some of the equipment that supports our set was put in when we moved into the building.
Our ever-disappearing studio has lost a major component. The lighting grid was removed for the first time in 65 years. I don't want to think about the dust and other "stuff" dislodged in the move, but we've been assured everything is OSHA-safe.
Some of the lights are now being used in our temporary studio. But the photo attached to this story should give you an idea of how much smaller our temporary home actually is. The lights on the floor are the ones from the old studio - the ones that can't be used right now.
